Walter Joseph Krucar, 90, of Scott Twp passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Wednesday, January 12th.  Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Stanley and Catherine Supeck Krukar, and a Korean War veteran.

 Walter was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City, and prior to retirement worked at Gertrude Hawk.

Walter was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, and he will be greatly missed and remembered for his stories, jokes, and flea market adventures.

In addition to his wife of 70-years, Lorraine Nieratko Krucar, he is survived by his daughters Deborah and Susanne; granddaughter Nicole and husband Vince; grandson Matthew and companion Laurie; great-grandson Vincent IV; sisters in law and brothers in law, Fran, Delores, and Tony, Janet, and Richard, Nancy, and Vince, and Janeen, and Stephen; nieces and nephews.

Walter was preceded in death by his two sons, Walter Jr. and Jeffrey, and his 12 brothers and sisters.

Walter’s family would like to thank Regional Hospital of Scranton and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their compassionate care.
