The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City with mass at 9:30 in St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City. Interment, St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup.

Theresa Piersimoni, 82, a Dickson City resident, died Thursday evening March 3, 2016 at the Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center, Olyphant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruno Piersimoni. He died in 2007.

Born in Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Matrisian Wolochowicz and she was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City. She was a 1951 graduate of Dickson City High School and prior to retirement she had been employed by Supermarket Services, Dunmore for over 20 years.

Theresa was a loving and caring sister and aunt who enjoyed trips with her husband, playing the lottery and bingo and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.  Theresa’s family would like to thank Dr. Rajan Mulloth and the nurses and staff at the Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center for their kind and considerate care.

Surviving are five siblings, sisters, Joanne Wolochowicz, Dickson City, Ceil Castellano and husband, James, Dickson City, Sonya Dzwonczyk, Parsippany, NJ, Andrea Castellani, Peckville; a brother, Michael Wolo and wife, Delores, Gettysburg, PA; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Eckert, a brother, Thomas Wolo, brothers in law, Robert Castellani, Michael Dzwonczyk and James Eckert.
