Theresa Koniszewski, 89, of Peckville, died Monday July 16, 2018 with her daughter Cathy at her side.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jack Koniszewski Sr., who died December 30, 2003.

Born in Blakely, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Radilla Lagvanec, and she was a devout member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville.   She was a mother and homemaker, a role she truly loved.  She was a graduate of Blakely High School.

She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend who enjoyed having her family together for the holidays.  She was noted for her apple pies, applesauce, pierogis and homemade bread.  She was a kind hearted woman who loved doing for others; and caring for animals, especially her beloved dogs.  Every stray dog seemed to find their way to her door.  Theresa loved her flowers and garden, and on Sunday’s visiting the Circle Flea market and yard sales.  She also loved having lunch at Coccetti’s, especially their home made soup.

Her family would like to thank Dr. Randall Brundage and his staff, the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Staff especially Lisa Molinaro,  Megan Knight, and Maria Cwalinski and all the LPN’s, her caregiver, Winsome Martin, aka-31.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are her children, son, Jack Koniszewski Jr., and wife, Jane, McLean, VA, daughter, Cathy Zuzzio, and husband, Charles, Lake Ariel, Joe Koniszewski, and wife, Anne, Peckville, and Jim Koniszewski, Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, Jaime Sheehan, and husband, Pat; Jake, Blair, Joseph, Julia and Alissa Koniszewski; great grandchild, Jason Sheehan; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Gabrielle Slimak, Jane Morris, Elizabeth Hallesky, and Maryann Matichak, and  brothers, Joseph Lagvanec, and infant Albert Lagvanec.
