Stella Victoria  Rumovitz, 97, of Eynon, died Thursday morning June 25, 2015 at Allied Skilled Nursing Facility, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Rumovitz Sr.

Born in Throop, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Margaret Tengowski Suwalski and she was a member of St. Adalbert’s Polish National Catholic Church, Dickson City. She was educated in Throop schools and prior to retirement she was employed by Manhattan Shirt Co., Scranton.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt who loved cooking and caring for her family. She always enjoyed having company at her home. She liked playing solitaire, watching  Polka dancing  and also Dancing with the Stars. She also liked shopping with Alberta. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the nurses and aides at Allied Skilled 4 South. Stella will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are two sons, Leo Rumovitz, Eynon and Frank Rumovitz, West Scranton, a son in law, Joseph Glenn, Eynon; a daughter in law Rosemary Rumovitz, Bristol, PA;  a sister, Marianna Karpowicz, NY; grandchildren, Michael Glenn, Jim, Diane, Debbie and Philip Solsman, Dawn Marie, Sherry Ann, Alexander and Robert Rumovitz and Beth Voroscak; many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph J. and Robert J. Rumovitz and daughters, Katherine Glenn and Stella Solsman; a grandson, Joe Rumovitz, brothers, Benjamin, John and Joseph Suwalski and sisters, Helen Varakas and Margaret Burden.
