Rosemarie A. Strony, 83, of Dickson City, died Thursday evening July 8, 2021, at the Green Ridge Health and Rehab Center, Scranton.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Strony Jr.

Born in Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Louise Wano Dubravcak, and she was a former member of Holy Ghost Church, Olyphant, and presently a member of Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant.  She was a graduate of Dickson City High School class of 1955.

Rose was a kind, caring, independent, and fun-loving person. She worked at JCPenney’s for over 30 years in the fine jewelry department and enjoyed her job and fellow associates. She loved to go on cruises and bus trips with her husband of 43 years and would travel almost every year. She loved people, going out for dinner with family and friends, family gatherings on holidays and birthdays, picking mushrooms, gardening, cooking, visits from her family in Ohio, and from her cousin Bob, and especially visits from her grandson, Ryan. She was always dressed smartly and was a very down-to-earth person who loved to laugh.

Surviving are two sons, Gregory Strony and wife, Jane, Dickson City, and Jeff Strony, Dickson City; a grandson, Ryan Strony, Dickson City; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by two brothers, Norman and Thomas Dubravcak
