Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  The family will receive family and friends on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Ronald R. Rzeszewski, 86, of Dickson City, died on Friday morning, August 26, 2022, at the Linwood Nursing and Rehab Center, Scranton.  He was preceded in death by his wife  Mary Lou Lombardo Rzeszewski.  She died on May 19, 2022.

Born in Dickson City, he was the son of the late Thaddeus and  Magdelena Czapukajtis Rzeszewski, and he was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  He was a graduate of Dickson City High School and Johnson College with a degree in Mechanical Drafting.  He was employed by Singer Link, Ingersoll Rand, and he retired from Pocono Drafting.  After retiring he became a funeral assistant at the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., Dickson City, serving families for over 20 years, until his illness.

Ronnie served with the US Marine Corp., attaining the rank of Sergeant, and he held memberships with the American Legion Post 665, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5937 both of Dickson City.  He also was a member of the Dickson City Veterans Honor Guard for many years, along with being a fan of the New York Yankees and a member of the Taurus Club, Scranton.

Ron had a fabulous tenor voice which he shared with the St. Mary’s Choir for 60 years.  He also performed at many venues as tenor soloist with Opera IV, and the Catholic Choral Club throughout the East coast.

Ronnie was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s events including sports, school activities, and dance recitals.  He never missed an event.  His family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Majernick and his staff for their outstanding care, the staff at Linwood Care Center, and Sacred Heart Hospice.

Surviving are two sons, Mark Rzeszewski, and wife, Josette, Eynon, and David Rzeszewski, and wife, Lisa, South Abington Twp.; grandchildren, Felicia, Ashley, Jessica, and Lauren Rzeszewski; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Victoria Misiura, Janette Lebida, Margaret Homish, Eleanor Hazeldon, and a brother, Thaddeus Rzeszewski.

I have very fond memories from My childhood of your parents . Although I live in Lake Winola I attended Christmas Eve Mass just to hear your Dad sing Oh Holy Night . May he Rest In Peace .

Dear Mark Josette, & family, we were so sorry to hear of your loss. Ron was a very kind, friendly, and happy man the few times we met him. I'm sure he is happy now with our Lord, & his wife. God Bless You All & help you through this sad time.

Joe and I send our deepest condolences to Rons family. He was a great man loved his grandchildren I seen that many times just remember he is at peace and in the arms of his beloved wife may they both Rest In Peace
