Ralph W. Johnson, of the Bell Mountain section of Dickson City, died Thursday, September 2, 2021, at home surround by his family.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet M. Jones Johnson.  She died on January 2, 2020.

Born in Peckville,  he was the son of the late John A. and Dorothy Jean Williams Johnson.  He graduated from  Blakely High School, class of 1964.  He served with the US Army and the National Guard. Ralph was a founding member of Johnsons Towing Company with his father, brother, and sister where he worked until he retired.

Ralph’s greatest joy was his two grandchildren Kendal and Jack.  They were the light of his life. You would always be able to find him either at Johnsons towing or at his house, at his kitchen table watching deal or no deal with a Budweiser in hand.  He also loved his three grand puppies Lexi, Oliver, and Mac. Also, a great thank you to compassionate care hospice especially Erin and Chris. He was also very proud of his son RJ. Ralph will finally be at peace with his wife Janet which he has missed so much.

Ralph was a dedicated owner to Johnsons towing which was a staple in the community. He was such a kind man and he would do anything for anyone in need. He was also the type of man that can put a smile on anyone’s face. Back in the day, he was very proud of his 1969 Baldwin Camaro. Many people knew him by the distinction of the car. Ralph also built his own wreckers including favorite his favorite is the 1971 Brockway and Jack’s dream and the 1965 auto car also how much more.

Surviving is a son, Ralph “RJ” Johnson, and wife, Megan, Dickson City;  a daughter, Jennifer Hanna Johnson, and companion, Bill Motil, Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Kendal Lily Johnson, and Ralph Jack “The Big Guy” Johnson; sister, Kathy Lee Siwinski, and husband, Stephen, Dickson City; and; nieces and nephews.
