Norma N. Taylor of Blakely, PA, passed away on August 17th, 2022 after a short illness.  Norma was 90 years old and was surrounded by loving family in her final hours.  She passed away as she lived her life, full of grace and dignity.

Norma was born on April 23rd, 1932, and was the first daughter of John and Stephania (Komichak) Taylor.  She was born in Olyphant and lived in Blakely most of her adult life.  Norma worked at the Bell Telephone Company in Scranton and was the first person hired for the newly developed Lackawanna County 911 Emergency Program.  She was also a member of the Mid Valley Hospital Auxiliary and Elmhurst Country Club for many years.

Norma was preceded in death by her loving partner of several decades, Dr. John Kilker; her brother, John Taylor; her sister, Dorothy, as well as her beloved niece and nephew, Bianca and Eric.

She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Paoletti of Dickson City and Nancy Kovaleski and husband Bob, of Blakely; her brother, Robert Taylor and wife Ann of Connecticut; and sister-in-law Lorraine Taylor of Dickson City.  Additionally, she is survived by a large number of nieces and nephews.

Norma was blessed with a number of close friends and neighbors who cared for her deeply and shared numerous hours debating politics and her love of animals, especially her beagles, Rosie, Rocky I and II.  Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling to Italy, cruising, and her unforgettable trips to NYC and Florida with her dear friends of many years.  She was admired for her beauty, style, and strength, but most of all for her ability to touch the hearts and connect with both young and old.  She was there for everyone during the good and bad times and exhibited a deep interest in all of the accomplishments of each of her nieces and nephews.

Norma will be remembered for her great sense of fashion, décor, and humor, but most of all her big heart.
