The funeral will be on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc. Dickson City. A mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 am in St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant.  Entombment will take place at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.  Friends may call on Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  To leave an online condolence visit the funeral home website.

Martha DePietro, a resident of Olyphant, died Thursday morning at the home of her daughter.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Claudio DePietro.  He died on June 15, 2020.

Born in Prompton, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary Matzen Magalski, and she was a member of Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant.  She was a graduate of Olyphant High School.  She had been employed in the Garment Industry prior to becoming a full-time homemaker.

Martha enjoyed being at home and spending time with her family  She especially enjoyed her great-grandchildren.  Her family would like to thank Nancy Greer CRNP, Dr. Weinberger, Interim Healthcare, and Allied Skilled Services Hospice for their wonderful care.

Surviving is a daughter, Sally Srebro, Peckville; grandsons, Rob Srebro and Erin, Jessup, and Ryan Srebro, Alicia, Dickson City;  great-grandchildren, Damon, Raelynn, and Matthew Srebro; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert Srebro; sisters, Irene Magalski, and Dolores Naro.
