The funeral will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the  Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City with mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  Friends may call Tuesday 5 to 8 p.m.

Marilyn A. Ward, 71, of Dickson City, died Saturday evening April 9, 2016 at the home of her son in Dickson City.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ward.  He died March 30, 2007.

 

Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Susan Williams Grembacki and she was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Parochial School and Dickson City High School.  She had been employed by the Mid Valley Hospital in their housekeeping department and prior to retirement by the Eynon Surgery Center.

Marilyn was a loving and caring woman who was passionate about her family, cooking and painting.  She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and loved ones.  She will be missed by many.

Surviving is a daughter, Brenda Ward, Dickson City; two sons, John Ward and wife, Denise, Dickson City with whom she resided and James Ward, Dickson City; three grandchildren, Leah DeMarco, Ryan and Shawn Ward; a sister, Carol Jones and husband, Allan, Waymart; nieces and nephews.
