The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc. 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with mass at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant. Interment Holy Ghost Cemetery, Blakely. Friends may call Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Traditional Hospice Memorial. Marie T. Boyarsky, 64, of Olyphant, died Wednesday December 16, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence H. Boyarsky. They had been married 45 years.
Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of Marie Kiesel Wasnetsky, Olyphant and the late Joseph C. Wasnetsky and she was a member of Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant. She was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School, Olyphant. Marie was employed as the Parish business manager at St. Paul of the Cross Parish, South Scranton for eleven years and St. Monica’s Parish, West Wyoming.
Her family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and aids at Carbondale Area Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Traditional Home Health and Hospice for the care they provided Marie during her illness.
Surviving are two daughters, Laura Bonitz and husband, James, Olyphant and Amanda Garcia and husband, Celvin, Olyphant; grandson, Kasey Boyarsky, Olyphant; two sisters, Cherie McDaniel and fiancée, Dr. William Morris, Dickson City; and Ellen Palfrey and husband, Barry, Jessup; a brother, Joseph Wasnetsky and wife, Linda, Olyphant; nieces, nephews and cousins.
