The funeral will be Friday, May 14th from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.     Interment with will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dickson City.  Friends may call Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Face coverings and social distancing are still required.  To leave an online condolence visit the funeral home website.

Margaret Nazinskas Baranowski, 94, of Throop, died Friday May 7, 2021, at Regional Hospital of Scranton.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Baranowski, he died in 1983.

Born in Throop, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth Payvis Nazinskas, and she was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City along with being a member of its Confraternity of Christian Mothers Society.  She was a graduate of Throop High School, and she had been employed in the local garment industry, and she was a member of the ILGWU.  Margaret was a member of National Slovak Society, and the Zonta Club.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was an activve member of the Throop Senior Citizens Group, and she enjoyed dancing, plays, gardening, sewing and baking for her family.  She will be deeply missed.

Surviving is a son, Stanley Baranowski, and wife Dolores Zulian, Woodbridge, VA; a granddaughter, Valentina Christopher, and husband, Simon, Kampala, Uganda; a great granddaughter, Victoria Christopher.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Amelia Gombar, and her companion Charles Sleyo Sr.
