The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City; with mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dickson City. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Eagle Hose Company # 1, Dickson City or St. Joseph’s Center, Scranton.   For directions or to leave an online condolence visit the funeral home website.

Loretta Zagorski, 92, of Peckville, and formerly of Dickson City, died Thursday evening August 2, 2018 at Allied Hospice, Clarks Summit.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Clement Zagorski.  He died August 18, 2001.

Born in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Stachnick, and she was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City, and its Christian Mothers Society.  She was a graduate of Old Forge High School.  She was also a member of Eagle Hose Company # 1 Ladies Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was a homemaker who devoted her entire life to caring for her disabled daughter, Barbara.  Her three grandchildren were the light of her life, and her life was fulfilled by holding her great granddaughter, Amelia.  She was a devout catholic, receiving communion every Sunday at St. Mary’s Church, Dickson City.  She was an avid fan of Duke Basketball and Penn State Football, and she enjoyed attending St. Mary’s Bingo every Monday.   She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Surviving is a son, Joseph Zagorski, and wife, Paula, Peckville; a daughter, Barbara Zagorski, Peckville; three grandchildren, Justin Zagorski, Bryan Zagorski, and, wife, Maura, and Christopher Zagorski, and fiancée, Ashley Dubravchak; and great granddaughter, Amelia Zagorski; nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, Joseph, and Michael Stachnick; two sisters, Sophie Fitt, and Johanna Malecki.
