The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.    Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montdale.  Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Masks and social distancing will be adhered to at the funeral home if you are not fully vaccinated.  To leave an online condolence visits the funeral home website.

Leona M. Cicilioni, 89, a Dickson City resident, died Friday, May 28, 2021, at the Regional Hospital of Scranton.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Michael Cicilioni, who died in 1991.

Born in Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Rotko Byer, and she was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City along with being a member of its Christian Mother’s Society.  She was a 1949 graduate of Dickson City High School, and she was a seamstress in the local garment industry, and she was a member of the ILGWU.  Prior to retirement, she was employed by Lucille’s Fashions, Dickson City.  Leona was also a member of the Auxillary to Shopa Davey Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6082, Peckville.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, who enjoyed going to the casino, a faithful fan of Valley View Cougar football, and watching Penn State Football games, shopping at Boscov’s, making Ravioli, doing puzzles, and embroidering.  She will be deeply missed.

Surviving is a son, Alfred M. Cicilioni, Jr., and wife, Eileen, Jessup; daughters, Sandralee Evans, and husband, Robert, Eynon, Laura Murray, and husband, Kevin, Old Forge; grandchildren, Alfred Cicilioni III, and wife, Katie, John Cicilioni and wife, Heather, Christopher Cicilioni, Elizabeth Cicilioni, Robert Evans, and wife, Juli, Daniel Evans, and wife, Kristin; honorary grandchild, Meghan McDonnell, great-grandchildren, Jackson, and Charlotte Cicilioni, Molly, Kylie, Emily, and Luke Evans; a sister, Eleanor Alunni, Archbald; best friend, Loretta Kovaleski;  nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Byer.
