There will be no public calling hours. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City. Interment of cremains will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, following mass.  Anyone attending should go directly to the Church.

Laureen R. Tylenda, RN, 85, of Dickson City, died on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Allied Skilled Nursing Facility, Scranton.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late William V. and Josephine Mruk Tylenda, and she was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  Laureen was a graduate of Dickson City High School and the Scranton State General Hospital School of Nursing.  She had been employed as a registered nurse until retirement.

Surviving is a brother, Vincent, Dickson City with whom she resided, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by brothers, Rev. Joseph Tylenda, Dr. Anthony Tylenda, Edmund Tylenda.
