Julia Ripich, 100 years old and 14 days shy of her 101st birthday died Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Dunmore Health Care Center, she was formerly a resident of  Scott Twp.   She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ripich. who died May 10, 1982.

She was born in New York City on February 1, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Jan and Katrzyna Pitula Mozna.  Her family left New York and returned to Poland after her birth, and she then immigrated to America at the age of 16, settling first in New York City,  Clifton Heights, NJ, and eventually moving to  Scott Twp.  She was a member of St. John Vianney Parish at Corpus Christi Church, Montdale.

She was a loving aunt who enjoyed trips to the casinos in Atlantic City, and she was an immaculate homemaker.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  Her family would like to thank her neighbor, and friend Elsie Browning for her friendship and care over many years.

Surviving are niece, Alberta Kaminski, and husband Gerald, Scott Twp.; nephew, Michael Ziobro, and wife Mary Ann, Scott Twp.; great nieces, Madison and Mikayla Ziobro, and Justina Kaminski; and great nephews, Damien, and Roger Kaminski.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, and a sister.
