Joseph M. Tellip, 87, formerly of Scott Twp, died Friday morning October 8th, 2021, at the Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center, Peckville. He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Frances “Fay” Galaszewski Tellip

Born in Throop, Joseph was the son of the late Michael and Mary Slevitskas Tellip, a graduate of Scott High School, and a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City. Joseph served in the US Army with the 894th Tank Battalion and the 465th Amphibious.Unit. Prior to retirement he was self-employed.

Joseph will be remembered as a loving and devoted family man. .

Joseph is survived by his wife Frances; his daughter Sharon and husband Dr. James Roche, Scott Twp; his three grandchildren, Tina Roche, Peckville, Amanda Zavislak, Blakely,and James Roche, Scott Twp; his two great-grandchildren, Riley and Bria Zavislak; his brother, Michael Tellip, Scott Twp; nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Flossy Buranich.
