The funeral will be Monday  from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City with mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. Anyone attending the funeral should go directly to the church.  Cremation will take place at Lake Regions Crematory. John R. “Butch” Taylor, 71 of Eynon, died Friday morning June 5, 2015 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife the former Lorraine Ksiazek. They had celebrated 52 years of marriage on August 25, 2014.

Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late John and Stepfania Komichak Taylor and he was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church , Peckville. He was a graduate of Olyphant High School and Johnson Technical Institute. He was a self employed carpenter and he also worked at Marion Community Hospital, Carbondale and Mid Valley Hospital, Peckville.

He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He especially loved spending time with his entire family. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.

Surviving are his children, daughter, Debra O’Connor, Archbald and her son, D.J. O’Connor, son, John Taylor and wife, Mary Ann, Avoca and their children, Joshua & Matthew Taylor, daughter, Michele Mengoni, Peckville, and her children, Torey, Anthony and Jonathan Mengoni, and son, Robert and wife, Sherri, Scott Twp., and their children, Julia, Madelyn and Cameron Taylor; sisters, Norma Taylor, Blakely, Barbara Paoletti, Dickson City and Nancy Kovaleski and husband, Robert, Blakely; a brother, Robert Taylor and wife, Ann, Plantsville, CT; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Taylor.
