John Earl Keim passed away peacefully at home on Thursday August 2, 2018.

Born May 26, 1931, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late John D. and Ellen Malloy Keim, and he was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City, and its Holy Name Society.  John lived in the Scranton Pine Brook section until moving to Dickson City over 40 years ago.  He was educated in Scranton schools, and he served as an AP in the US Air Force during the Korean War.

John worked for the US Postal Service as a letter carrier and rural mail carrier prior to retirement.

His family would like to thank Dr. Majernick, and his entire staff, and the VNA Hospice, especially Karen Brady for their wonderful and compassionate care of John.

John is survived by his caregiver, Joyce Pezanowski, Dickson City; cousins, John, Alice and Ellen Bulger, Clarks Summit.

He was preceded in death by his second family, Mary Pezanowski, Rosemary Pezanowski, Walter Pezanowski, and his cousin, Henry “Red” Bulger.
