Joan Hallock, 70, of Exeter and formerly of Dickson City, died Thursday December 3, 2015 at Wilkes Barre General Hospital.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophie Makowski Oprisko and she was educated in Elmhurst and Dickson City schools and she attended Empire Beauty School. Prior to retirement she had been employed by B&G Pants and she was a homemaker.

She was Catholic and did her praying at home. She was always there when you needed her. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank all well- wishers and especially all the family members who have helped during this difficult time.

Surviving are two sons, Glenn Hallock and wife, Christel, Jessup, and Carl Hallock, Scranton; a daughter, Tammy Hallock, Eynon; two grandchildren, Gavin and Madison Hallock, Jessup; a sister, Christine Bein and husband, Martin, Dickson City; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joann Hallock, a brother, Anthony “Jackie” Trotta and two sisters, Jacqueline Beynon, and Sonia Werner-Woliski.
