Harry G. Kuzmick, 72, of Dickson City, passed into a more peaceful space of love and beauty on March 25, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, whom he dated for seven years, Carol Morohovech Kuzmick, who will find life unbearable without him.

Born in Scranton, on March 4, 1943, he was the son of the late Harry and Pelagia Paserp Kuzmick of Dickson City and Clarks Summit, and he was a member of St. Peter’s Cathedral, Scranton, where he served as a hospitality minister for 17 years and as head usher for the 10 a.m. Mass. He was a graduate of Dickson City High School and he attended Lackawanna College and the University of Scranton for two years. While in college he served in the ROTC for two years. He also served with the U.S. Navy. Harry had been employed by Ford Motor Company.

Harry was quiet and loving with a beautiful smile for all and great blue smiling eyes, extremely giving and generous. He was also a true romantic with flowers for all occasions. Harry volunteered for different fundraisers and had fun doing it. In the past he was a member of the long retired Wildwood Polka Club. He did this to make his wife “Happy” (for sure). Harry never liked dancing but did enjoy watching Carol. Never a day went by that he didn’t tell her what joy it was to watch her have fun. A gentle man who will be missed especially by his furry friend, Lily, who adored Harry and he in return.

Surviving are a sister, Barbara Stevenson, Binghamton, N.Y.; a sister-in-law, Joyce Kuzmick, St. Petersburg, Fla.; godchild, Karen Zasvislak, Columbia, S.C.; friends, Joan Smargiassi, Marie Rosiak and Sue Alt were there for moral support through Harry’s last hours.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Kuzmick of Florida, who passed away December 23, 2014, one day after his 65th birthday. John will be able to greet Harry with open arms. Two men who loved their wives now watch over them in death and they are even closer.

The funeral with military honors will be Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Peter’s Cathedral, Scranton. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dickson City.
