There will be no public calling hours.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021, at St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  Masks will be required, and social distancing maintained.  Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dickson City.  Arrangements Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City.

Elizabeth “Betty” Pisarski, 79, Jefferson Twp., died Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at the Julia Ribaudo Health Center, Lake Ariel.  She is survived by her husband, Michael Pisarski.

Born in Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Bednarz Swierbenski.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City, and a graduate of Dickson City High School.  She later graduated from the Scranton State General School of Nursing, and she was employed as a registered nurse at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton.

She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.  She was affectionately known as MiMi to her grandchildren who she adored.  Betty and Mike loved polka dancing and the many friends they made at those gatherings.  She will be deeply missed.

Surviving are four sons, James, Joseph, Christopher Buchinski, all of Dickson City, and Mark Buchinski, and wife, Lisa, Piscataway, NJ; four grandchildren, Christina, Alexzandra, Erin, and Nicholas Buchinski; a brother, Robert Swierbenski, and wife, Pamela, Dunmore; stepchildren, Michael and Stephen Pisarski, and Lori Burns.
