Eleanore L. Lisowski, 94, a resident of Dickson City, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart on Thursday January 3, 2019, after a brief illness.

Born in Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen Wroble Lisowski.  She was educated in St. Mary’s Parochial School, and Dickson City High School.  She was employed by Scranton Lace Company and retired in a supervisory role after a 40-year career.  She was an active member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City, and a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality, the Church choir, and Church decorator.

For Eleanore, family was the most important element in her life.  She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and godmother who enjoyed dancing in her younger years, cooking and showering her family with love, and affection at many family gatherings.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Lisa Robertson for many years of excellent care and to the Doctors, nurses and staff at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, for the excellent care and compassion during her brief stay.

Surviving is a sister, Theresa Lisowski, Long Island, NY; a brother, Ronald Lisowski, and wife, MaryAnn, Dickson City; a nephew, George Egreczky, and wife, Kathryn, nieces, Diane Herron, and husband, Michael, Cherie Ward, and husband, Ian; great nieces, Sarah Egreczky, and Grace Herron, and great nephew, Michael Herron.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, MaryAnn, and Florence Lisowski, and Helen Egreczky, and a brother, Vincent Lisowski.
