Elaine King, 85 of Scott Township, passed away peacefully Saturday at Allied Hospice and Palliative Care. Her husband of 63 years is Howard King. He was her devoted caregiver over the last two years of her illness.

Born in Detroit Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Sophie Krajewski Klimowski. She graduated from Moosic High School in 1955. Before her retirement, she was employed at Scranton Dry Goods, Binghamton Press, Traditional Home Health and Hospice, and as a secretary for 26 years at Lakeland School District. She was a member of Saint Mary’s Visitation Church, the 55 Classics, and the Greenwood After 50 Club.

Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She always supported her children and grandchildren, attending all their events, even driving hours to watch them. She enjoyed going on vacations with family and always brought laughter to those around her, affectionately known as Gramma Saké. She loved to shop with her girlfriends on Saturday and find a great bargains. The economy in NEPA will be hit hard because of her loss. Above all, Elaine was deeply religious and found strength in her faith. She attended mass every day with her husband and enjoyed coffee with friends after mass. Now, Elaine can attend daily mass in heaven with Mark, Adam, and her mom.

She is survived by her son Alan King and wife Rita, Olyphant; daughter Lori Musto, Cranberry Township; grandchildren Jordan King-Florio and husband Paul, Hendersonville, TN, Stephanie, and Tyler Musto, Cranberry Township. She was proceeded in death by son Mark King, grandson Adam King, brother Ronald Klimowski, and son-in-law Gary Musto.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kevin Williams, Dr. Joseph Gershey, Allied Home Services, and Allied Hospice for the loving care and support they gave Elaine.
