Dominic’s funeral will be Thursday, November 4th, at 9:30 from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10am at St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  Interment Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.  Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Dominic A. Passaniti Jr., 48, of Dickson City died Saturday at Geisinger CMC.

Born in Susquehanna, PA, Dominic was the son of the late Dominic Passaniti and is survived by his mother, Joan Rabiega Passaniti, with who he resided with.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City, was a graduate of Carbondale High School class of 1995, and was employed at McDonald’s.  Dominic had many passions in life. He loved being outdoors and watching wildlife. He spent many days reading and writing about nature and animal behaviors. He was well known for the countless intricate puzzles he would complete and enjoyed building large lawn ornaments by hand. He loved Elvis and 1970’s sitcoms. Dominic especially loved meeting new people and anyone with a pet. He had a gentle soul and an infectious smile and could light up the darkest days with his personality. He was easily entertained by anything that made him smile or laugh and could make new friends anywhere he went.

Dominic is survived by his two sisters, JoAnn Passaniti, Ninevah, NY, and Lisa Kaye, Kunkletown, PA; his brother Frank, Lewisburg, PA; several aunts and uncles; his nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Stephen, Anthony, Gabrielle, Nicholas, Jason, Alex, Michael, and Kelly; and his two grandnephews, Bryant and Talon.
