David J. Yablonski, 77, of Moosic, PA died Friday, July 23rd, at Glenmaura Senior Living Center.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen Grzybowski Yablonski.

Born in Scranton, David was the son of the late Joseph and Evelyn Kowalski Yablonski.  He was a graduate of Scott Twp high school and a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  After graduating high school David served in the Air Force during Vietnam.  David then began his civilian career as a draftsman, while achieving his Professional Architect License through self-study. He retired from Burkavage Design Associates after a successful career as an architect.

When his children were young, David spent time taking them fishing and playing baseball.  He enjoyed his garden and took pride in his lawn.  He was skilled at construction and made many improvements to their family home over the years.  Later in life, David and his wife loved to travel to local antique shows becoming avid collectors of unique furniture and historical items. But most of all, his grand daughters were the light of his life.

David is survived by his three children; Janine Yablonski, Winter Park, FL, Erik Yablonski, Blakely, and Kendra Davis and husband Thomas, Newton Twp; his two granddaughters, Graceann and Hannah; and his four sisters: Barbara Kasper, Carol Spegar and husband Daniel, Evelyn Brojack and husband Bill, and Susan Maslar and husband Andy.

He was predeceased by his sister, Ann Phillips.

A special thank you for those that helped care for David in those final months, from the staff at Glenmaura Senior Living Memory Care to his Hospice Sacred Heart nurses and finally his private caregivers, Eileen and Jolina.  Thank you for all the love and care.
