Dante L. Pambianco, 92, of Charlottesville, VA, formerly a long-time resident of Dickson City, PA passed away early Monday morning September 17, 2018, at RoseWood Village in Charlottesville, VA.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lottie Wisniewski Pambianco.  She died July 4, 2018

Dante was born on September 29, 1925 in Eynon, PA, to his late parents, Lodovico and Benilde Bugliosi Pambianco. He was a decorated World War II veteran and served honorably in the US Army as a sergeant in the military police. He was a machinist, carpenter and locksmith by trade and retired as a maintenance supervisor at the Farview State Hospital in PA. He was an active member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City for many years and the Shopa-Davey VFW Post 6082, Peckville.

Dante married the love of his life, Lottie Wisniewski in 1950. The couple settled in Dickson City, where they raised their son, Daniel.  They spent more than 50 years in PA before relocating to Charlottesville, VA 9 years ago to be closer to family.

Dante was a doting husband, father and grandfather who loved his family immensely. He enjoyed running, cross-country skiing, cross-word puzzles, the Yankees and John Wayne movies. He had a reserved, gentle spirit who loved being surrounded by his family.

Dante is survived by his son, Daniel Pambianco and wife, Alexis; granddaughter, Danielle Showalter and husband, Brian; great-granddaughter, Bianca, all of Charlottesville, VA; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Cecelia Ragnacci; and three brothers Baldo, Benny, and Bruno Pambianco.

His family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at RoseWood Village, Hospice of the Piedmont, and Susan Simon.
