Friends may call Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City. Memorial services will be conducted by Rev. Danielle M. Vandervort Mark, 51, of Carbondale died Monday evening October 26, 2015 at the VNA Hospice Unit at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. She is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Mark.

Born in Scranton and raised in Dickson City, she was the daughter of John Vandervort Sr., Scranton and the late Diane Yazinski Gretkowski. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Parochial School, Dickson City and she attended Mid Valley High School. She was a stay at home mom.

Danielle’s favorite movie was Gone With The Wind. She loved spending time with her family and friends at Newton Lake in the summer and dancing. She has many special friends including her cats, Betty Boop, Sassy and Susie and her dog, Putt Putt. Her family would like to thank the Chemotherapy nurses at Moses Taylor Hospital and the nurses at VNA Hospice at Geisinger Medical Center and her best friend, MJ.

Surviving is a son, Brandon R. Mark and wife, Danielle, Jermyn; two sisters, Brenda Hopkins  and Nicole Vandervort; brother, Scott Vandervort; step children, Allison Parks and Thomas Marks Jr., a grandson, Evan Parks; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brother, John Vandervort, step father, John Gretkowski.
