Friends may call Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City. A blessing service will take place at 11:45 a.m. by Msgr. Patrick Pratico at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorials in Daniel’s name may be made to the Ronald McDonald House 332 Wheeler Ave., Scranton, PA 18510.

Daniel M. Polcha, 61, of Dickson City, died Tuesday April 12, 2016 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.  He is survived by his wife the former, Barbara Prushinski.

 

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Addison and Agnes Ognosky Polcha and he was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  He was a graduate of North Pocono High School and he was the owner of Movies to Go, Moscow and  Quality Signs, Dickson City, and he was also employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

 

He was a caring husband, father, grandfather and friend who enjoyed fishing, cooking and gardening.  Dan was an organ donor who  will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

 

Surviving are two sons, Addison Polcha and wife Anna, Evans, GA and Phillip Polcha and wife, Nickie, S. Abington Twp.; three grandchildren, Beau, Benjamin and Adeline Polcha; two sisters, Diane Stratman, FL and Darlene Carl, CO; his former wife, Christine Wozniak Polcha, Eynon; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
