Clamounte R. Bobrowski, 80, of Luray, VA., died Saturday, February 13, 2021, at the Blue Ridge Hospice, Winchester, VA.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Tempie Manning Bobrowski, who died July 6, 2018.

Born in Gibson, PA on February 6, 1941, he was the son of the late Edward Alexander and Isabelle Lukaszewski Bobrowski.  He was a 1959 graduate of Dickson City High School and he attended Columbia University.  He served with the U.S.M.C. reserves attaining the rank of Sergeant, and he was a member of American Legion Post 665, Dickson City.

Clamounte was a past partner in Eagletronics and was CEO of Staples Research.  He designed and manufactured photo related optical/electronic/mechanical products that enhanced photos from high flying aircraft exclusively for the first 20 years. During the same period worked with night vision labs in developing night vision and thermal vision devices. For the entire 44 years, he had a great relationship with the USPS and the evolution of the automated mail sortation machinery. From the ’90s till his retirement, developed and patented a meat tenderizing machine that could process 50 pounds of beef per minute 24 hours a day.

He was an accomplished accordion player and collector for over 70yrs.  Clamounte was very proud of his Polish heritage.

He is survived by a brother, Edward, and wife Karen Bobrowski Olyphant, PA; a sister, Michele, and husband Richard Belknap Clifton Park, NY; nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by a sister, Joyce Fraser, Port St Lucie Florida.
