Carol Ann Gliniecki Nelson, 74 of Jermyn, died Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at home surrounded by her family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Nelson. He died on February 21, 2020.

Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Edward Sr. and Clorinda Volpi Gleniecki, and she was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  She was a graduate of Dickson City High School, and she received a BS degree in Business Administration from Penn State University.  She was employed by Eddie’s Nursery a family-owned business until retirement.

She met the love of her life in her early adult life and spent almost 50 years married to Eugene before he passed away 2 years ago. She has had a part of her heart missing since that day, and her family finds comfort knowing that they are together again.

Carol was loved by so many and will be missed immensely. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Carol loved her family more than anything, and always cherished her time with them. Carol also loved to cook and bake especially during the holidays. Following in her mother’s footsteps, you would never leave her house hungry.  Carol spent much of her life at Eddie’s Nursery starting when she was a young girl, and her love for gardening continued for many years.

Surviving is a daughter, Melissa Dupay, and husband, John, Blakely; a son, Eugene Nelson, Jermyn; grandchildren, John, Kristen, Lauren, and Megan Dupay; a brother, Edward Gliniecki Jr., and wife Cathy, Dickson City; nieces and nephews.
