Carlos Pineiro, 65, of Dickson City, PA, and formerly of Staten Island, NY, died Tuesday, February 3, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.  He is survived by his wife, Margarita Maria Vasquez Pineiro.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Emilina Diaz.  He was a graduate of John J. High School, Brooklyn, NY, and prior to retirement, he was employed as a technical consultant with the Department of Information Technology Telecommunications for the New York City Police Department.

Carlos Pineiro was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend. He loved life and made it his life’s mission to see to it that his loved ones had everything they needed to experience and enjoy life to the fullest. He had a love of cars where over the years he spent hours toying over his cars beautifying them. As an employer of NYC, his duties included being a first responder to the Towers on 9/11.
Upon his retirement in 2017, he relocated to Pennsylvania where he spent the remainder of his years doting over his wife, children, stepchildren, and grandchildren.
He will be remembered mostly for his kind-hearted generosity but most of all his goofy sense of humor. Where his laughter was contagious to whoever crossed his path.
Heaven’s gain is our loss – until we get to be with you again, the earth won’t be as funny anymore.
“Sé que te amaré siempre, yo sé que te amaré hasta el fin del fin. Estaré junto a ti.”

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Frances Amy Ascencio, and husband, Julio, Clarks Summit, Carlos Pineiro Jr., and wife, Jennifer, Staten Island, NY, and Racquel Roedan, and husband, Carlos, Clarks Summit; two stepchildren, Melissa Acevedo, and husband, Isaac, Staten Island, NY, and James Agudelo, Dickson City;  nine grandchildren, Kassandra, Michael, Bianca, Sarah, Christopher, Julius, Carlos, Isaac, and Julianna; nieces and nephews.
