The funeral will be Saturday, July 31st, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City. Anyone attending should go directly to the church.  Arrangements Frank T. Mazur Funeral Homes Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City.  Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dickson City. Per Carl’s request, there will be no public calling hours.  Donations may be made to Eagle Hose Company #1, Eagle Lane, Dickson City, or Hospice of the Sacred Heart 100 Williams, St., Dunmore, PA 18512.   To leave an online condolence visits the funeral home website.

Carl T. Schick, 86, of Dickson City, died Wednesday morning July 28, 2021, at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit, Dunmore.  He is survived by his wife of 39 years Judy Migacz Schick.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Carl and Mary Young Schick, and he was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  He was educated in Scranton Public Schools, and prior to retirement, he was employed by the Trane Co.  Carl was a dedicated 25-year member, and captain of the Fire Police of the Eagle Hose Company #1, Dickson City.

For many years Carl served as treasurer at St. Vincent DePaul Church.  He loved spending time at his cottage at White Deer Lake, Hawley, and listening to, and watching Yankee Baseball games.  He was a member of the Roaring Brook Sportsman’s Club, Hawley.  He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Surviving are his children, Donna Hampton, and husband, John, Weizer, ID, Karen Badyrka, and husband, Steve, Throop, Margaret Benjamin, and husband, Bryant, Dickson City, Mary Marcinko, and husband, David, Dickson City, Cathy Zielinski, and husband, Joseph, Dickson City; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded by two brothers, Clarence and Vernon Schick, and two sisters, Gloria Hanns, and  Eunice Barber.
