The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. with a blessing service by Rev. Senior William Chromey at the   Frank T. Carl Slenzak, 70, of Dickson City, died unexpectedly at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton on Wednesday morning April 21, 2021.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Edward and Rose Kostick Slenzak, and he was a member of St. Adalbert’s Polish National Catholic Church, Dickson City.  He was a graduate of Dickson City High School.  He had been employed as an x-ray technician and for 30 years prior to retirement, he was employed as a letter carrier for the Postal Service.  Carl served with the US Army during the Vietnam War, and he was a member of American Legion Post 665, Dickson City.

Carl was a kind and gentle person who loved his dogs, Jake and Kate.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are several cousins including Carol and Joan; his best friend, Cindy Lucas, and husband, George, Uniondale.

Carl was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Slenzak.
