It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bruce E. Hill, RPh, 77, of Scott Twp., on Monday, September 20, 2021, at Allied Hospice, Scranton.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years the former Marion E. Wisneski.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Clyde and Grace Owens Hill.  He was a graduate of Blakely High School, Keystone College, and he received his pharmacy degree from Temple University, Philadelphia.  He was the Chief Pharmacist at the Scranton State Hospital and Geno Merli Veterans
Center until he retired, and he also worked at the White Haven Hospital.   Bruce served with the US Army during the Vietnam War stationed at the 24th Evac Hospital Long Binh, Vietnam.  He also was stationed at Fitzsimmons Hospital, Colorado.  He was a member of the Jessup VFW post 5544.

Bruce served with the Drug and Alcohol Board, coached little league baseball, and football, and he was a member of the Grizzly Hunting Club, East Ararat since 1974.

Surviving is a daughter, Leslie Virbitsky, and husband, William, Media, PA; a son, Graig Bruce Hill, and wife, Daniela, Scott Twp.; grandchildren, Kyle, Brian, and Jake Virbitsky, and Brooke and Bria Hill; two sisters, Karen Remick, Blakely, and Alyce MacKinder, Peckville; nieces and nephews.
