Alice M. Stetz, 89, of Dickson City, died on Tuesday morning August 31, 2021, at the Linwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, Scranton.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Stetz.  He died on November 28, 2012.

Born in Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Berkanich Prasi, and she was a life-long member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City along with being a member of its Christian Mother’s Society, and Cafeteria Mothers.  Alice was a graduate of Dickson City High School, and she had been employed by Bellig Shoe, Peckville, and she retired from Sears Roebuck and Company after 30 years.

She was a loving and caring mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed going to the Casino and spending time with her family, and friends.  The light of her life was her grandson D.J., and she enjoyed cooking for him and her extended family.  She was a Dallas Cowboys fan and she liked watching their games with her daughter, Sharon.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Surviving is a daughter, Sharon Smith, and husband, Douglas, Dickson City; grandson, D.J. Smith, Dickson City; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by a brother, Stephen Prasi, who died November 26, 1998.
