Alice Delores “Dee” Cordell, 91, of Dickson City, died Friday evening October 23, 2020, at home with her daughter, and best friend Cindy by her side.  She was preceded in death by her husband Norman A. Cordell.  He died on August 13, 2000.

Born in Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Eugenia Mazur Pabis, and she was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City and its Christian Mothers Society.  She was a graduate of Dickson City High School, and prior to retirement, she had been employed by Lockheed Martin, Archbald.

Dee was a meticulous person who always cared about her appearance, and she would never leave her home without being put together perfectly.  She enjoyed Polka weekends and cruises with her companion and dance partner Al Aukscunas.  She and her family were active during the Dickson City Centennial with Bab’s 13 Chapter.  When she wasn’t out having fun, she would spend time at home cooking, baking, Crocheting, knitting, and doing crossword puzzles.  Dee enjoyed gardening and taking care of her home with her daughter and best friend, Cindy.  She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Surviving is her daughter, Cynthia Cordell, Dickson City, and companion, Rick, Taylor; a sister, Joan Marcinko, Peckville; companion of many years, Al Aukscunas, Scranton; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis Bolash, and husband, John, and a brother in law, Nicholas Marcinko.
