The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc. 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City with services by Rev. David Hinkley of the Throop Methodist Church. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to his children’s college fund. For directions or to leave an online condolence visit the funeral home website.

Albert H. Kausmeyer, 48, of Throop, died Wednesday morning February 3, 2015  at home, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife the former, Colleen Roche. They had celebrated 17 years of marriage on August 8, 2015.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of Jeretta Williams Kausmeyer, Throop and the late Albert J. Kausmeyer. He was a 1985 graduate of Mid Valley High School and Johnson College and he attend Penn State University for two years studying mechanical engineering. Albert was a member of the Throop Methodist Church and he was employed by Kelley Mazda as a mechanic for over 20 years.

He was a loving and caring husband, father, son, brother and brother in law. He loved camping and fishing with his daughter Lindsey, watching hockey games with his son Albert and reconstructing Camaros. His family would like to thank Dr. Kishori Veerabhadrappa and the nurses and staff at Hematology and Oncology Associates of North East PA especially nurse Nadine.

Surviving is a son, Albert Kausmeyer and a daughter, Lindsey Kausmeyer both at home; a brother, Robert Kausmeyer and wife, Claudia, Throop; mother and father in law, Edward and Shirley Roche, Dunmore; brothers and sisters in law; two aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
