Ricci , Cheryl . Obituary

Cheryl Ricci, 59, of Ransom, passed away Wednesday morning November 26, 2014 at Geisinger CMC Hospital, Scranton after a long, courageous battle with Lupus.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Benjamin and Stella Votano Ostroski. She was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and, before retiring, she was a loan officer at Tobyhanna Army Depot Federal Credit Union.

She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She enjoyed trips to the casino; No Tone Tuesday's with her daughter, Jenifer; her annual beach vacations with Jenifer and her dear friends, Denise Nails and Jennifer Puckett (The Vacation Club); and any road trip that involved singing along to Kenny Rogers and Billy Joel.

She was a mother before anything else. Her heart was full of love and she gave that love, unconditionally to those around her.

The family would like to give a special thank you to her neighbors, Rich and Jackie Kroekorian, Allied In-Home Health, and Caregivers of America, especially Rosemary, Barbara, Michelle, Laura, and Tara.

Surviving are a daughter, Jenifer Lupole, and husband Michael, Greenfield Township; a son, Ronald III and wife, Leslie, Old Forge; sisters Phyllis Podolak, Mountaintop, and Patricia Dobrydney, Naples, FL; "adopted" daughters, Jennifer Carey, Avoca, Jennifer Pucket, Old Forge, and Melissa Yerka-Martini, Dunmore; a niece and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Benjamin "Sonny" Ostroski.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc. 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City.
