Ruth M. Krisler, 69, of Scott Twp., died Monday morning May 7, 2018 at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit, Dunmore.  She is survived by her husband, Edward Krisler.

Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Millerd and Louise Borkowski Zuroski, and she was a member of St. John Vianney Parish at Corpus Christi Church, Montdale.  She was a graduate of Scott Twp. High School and she had been employed by Sanvik Steel, and she retired from the Honesdale National Bank, Montdale Branch.

Ruth adored company. She and her sisters made their mother’s pirogies every Christmas. She insisted on building a pool for her grandchildren so they
would visit often. Her home was a center for large family gatherings and she filled it with pictures of travels with her husband of 50 years. Plants
grew profusely in her care. Hummingbirds always visited her feeders. She loved the bright lights and excitement of casinos. She never forgot to send
a birthday card.

Surviving is a son, Brian Krisler, and wife, Dawne, Newburyport, MA; a daughter, Tamara Bovee, Jermyn; two grandchildren, Mae Krisler and Quenten Bovee; three sisters, Loraine Bryla, and husband, John, Scott Twp., Barbara Langman, and husband, Robert, Uniondale, and Sandra Stanko, Scott Twp.; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Yazdzik, and Carl Zuroski.
