The funeral with military honors will be Friday at 10 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City with mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, Montdale.   Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dickson City. Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers plant a tree in Bob’s memory.  For directions or to leave an online condolence visit the funeral home website.

Robert S. Koslowski, 79, of East Benton Twp., passed away on Monday evening August 28, 2017 at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton.  He is survived by his wife Nancy Conway Koslowski, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage.

Born in Dickson City, he was the son of the late John and Julianna Lubaszewski Koslowski and he was a member of St. John Vianney Parish at Corpus Christi Church, Montdale.  He was a graduate of Dickson City High School, class of 1956 and upon graduating he enlisted and served honorably with the 2nd Marine Air Wing working with air traffic control.  He then graduated the University of Scranton class of 1968, school of Business.  He retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of the Auditor General.

He also acquired his own aircraft with a commercial pilot’s license with additional ratings and endorsements.  He had 5000 hours of accident free flying.

A self -proclaimed “tree hugger” he and Nancy embraced the environmental movement and the road less traveled, especially throughout the Atlantic Canada Region.

Surviving is a brother, John Koslowski and his wife, Ann, Dallas, PA; sister in law, Elaine Koslowski, Dickson City; nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Thomas Koslowski.
