The funeral will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City with Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, Olyphant.    Interment will take place at SS. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery, Peckville. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Parastas will be at 6 p.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Susan B. Pearl Kostic, of Olyphant, died on Sunday September 3, 2017 at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore after a brief illness.  She would have celebrated her 90th birthday on September 16, 2017.  She was preceded in death by her husband, of 43 years Michael Kostic who died April 26, 2003.

 

Born in Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late Fabian and Pauline Kruszewski Wyszynski and she was a member of SS Cyril & Methodius Church, Olyphant.  She was a graduate of Dickson City High School, class of 1944. Pearl worked over 30 years as a seamstress in several factories and made her own clothes as well as for her mom and sisters.

 

She was a caring person who gave freely of her time to anyone in need.  The highlight of her life was traveling and singing with The Schubert’s Chorus.  Pearl was a member of numerous prayer groups and held a special devotion to our Blessed Mother.

 

Pearl’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Hospice of the Sacred Heart and the Moses Taylor Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion.

 

Surviving are sisters, Lucille Wyszynski, Dickson City, Marlene Rivas and husband, Frank Santa Clara, CA, Sandra Buckshon and husband, John, Olyphant; brothers, Larry Wyszynski and wife, Linda Jackson, TN; sister in law, Norene Pheiffer Wyszynski, Newburg, OR; cousins, Anne Landess and Terry and Susan Pitcher, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by sisters, Gladys Ziman and Shirley Wyszynski and a brother Walter Wyszynski.
