The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:00am from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City with mass at 9:30am in St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dickson City.

 

Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8pm.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville, Pa, 17822.

Frances E. Yazinski, 96, of Dickson City, died Saturday night September 30, 2017, at Mt. View Care Center.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Yazinski, who died in 2010.

Born in Long Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Adeline Burkowski Wisniewski.  She graduated from Olyphant high school and was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.

Frances had a green thumb, loved flowers, especially her hydrangeas, and was a wonderful baker who always had a freshly baked cake or pie ready when anyone stopped in for a visit.  She loved holidays with her family, especially Christmas Eve, and was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Mt. View Care Center, especially the Bella-Bay and activities staffs.

Surviving are four sons, Richard and wife Virginia, Archbald, Ronald and wife Jeanne, Winter Garden, FL., Leon and wife Norma, Peckville, and Judge John and wife Nancy, Claremont, NH; grandchildren, Dana Hilton and husband Guy, Richard Yazinski and wife Donna, Jeremy Yazinski and wife Betsy, Tara Yazinski, Mark Yazinski and wife Nicole, Brian Yazinski and wife Alissa, and Ethan Yazinski; eight great-grandchildren; former daughter-in-law Judy McMahon; a brother Lee Wisniewski and wife Helen, Dickson City, and a sister,  Lottie Pambianco and husband Dante, Charlottesville, VA.; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Myron and Adam, and two sisters, Estelle and Jane.
