Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. by Msgr. Barbara A. Polcha, 70 of Dalton and formerly of Dickson City, died Saturday morning October 28, 2017 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Polcha.  He died April 12, 2016.

Born in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Geraldine Bienkowski Prushinski and she was a former member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.  She was a graduate of Nanticoke High School and prior to retirement she was employed in the customer service department at Bank of America.

Surviving is a sister, Ann Marie Ganski and husband, Stephen, Cincinnati, OH; nephews, Jason Ganski and wife, Paticia, Boston and Matthew and fiancée, Kelly, Chicago; step sons, Addison Polcha and wife, Anna, Evans, GA and Phillip Polcha, S. Abington Twp; step grandchildren, Beau, Benjamin and Adeline Polcha; sisters in law, Diane Stratman, FL and Darlene Carl, CO; Kristina Bedford whom Barbara considered to be a daughter and fiancée, Joseph Cisney, Dalton; and Christina’s children whom Barbara considered to be grandchildren, Isabella, Cayden and Morgan.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Prushinski.
