Arthur V. Manuel, 54, died Saturday at the home he shared with his fiancé Karen Williams and her three children, who he loved dearly.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of Arthur and JoAnn Amico Manuel of Peckville.  A resident of Peckville, he was a graduate of Valley View High School and the University of Scranton, where he received a degree in Criminal Justice.  He went on to have a distinguished 28 year career with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Art lived every day to the fullest.  He loved going to Penn State games, riding his motorcycle, vacationing to different destinations, playing with his best friend Otis, and enjoying fun times with friends and family. He also enjoyed spending time in his “man-cave” making Italian specialties and cooking.  He was a martial artist, and an avid gardener.  He was a devoted father, fiancé, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, and will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his fiancé, Karen Williams, his beautiful daughters, Tiffany Doering, and husband, Adam, and Brittany Manuel with former spouse, Allyson Ward, his beloved grandchildren, Sierra, Aurora, Branch, Asher, and Phoenix, who he loved dearly, and were his pride and joy.  He is also survived by a sister, Lori Ketz, and husband, Barry, Peckville, and their children, Emily, and Elliott, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Vincent and Mildred Amico, and Frank and Virginia Manuel.

The funeral will be Friday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 1101 Willow St., Peckville with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.  Friends may call at the Church, from 10 to 11 a.m.  Arrangements are by the Frank T.
